چکیده
This paper discusses the influence of fiber reinforcement on properties geopolymer concrete composites, based fly ash, ground granulated blast furnace slag and metakaolin. Traditional composites are brittle in nature due to low tensile strength. The inclusion fibrous material alters behavior along with a significant improvement mechanical i.e., toughness, strain flexural Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) is mainly used as binding agent composites. However, current environmental awareness promotes use alternative binders geopolymers, replace OPC because production, quantity CO2 released that creates pollution. Geopolymer have been characterized using wide range analytical tools including scanning electron microscopy (SEM) elemental detection X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Insight into physicochemical their constituents natural polymeric fibers for making has gained. Focus given sisal, jute, basalt glass fibers.

Comparative Study of Steel and Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete Composites
Concrete is most widely used construction material in the world. Fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) is a concrete in which small and discontinuous fibers are dispersed uniformly. The fibers used in FRC may be of different materials like steel, G.I., carbon, glass, aramid, asbestos, polypropylene, jute etc. The addition of these fibers into concrete mass can dramatically increase the compressive st...

Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites are being promoted as the materials of 21st century because of their superior corrosion resistance, excellent thermo-mechanical properties, and high strength-to-weight ratio. For over 25 years, the Constructed Facilities Center at West Virginia University (CFC-WVU) has been conducting research on fundamentals of engineering and material sciences, innova...
متن کاملMicromechanical modeling of fiber reinforced pervious concrete composites
Pervious concrete is widely used in today’s construction industry, e.g.. parking lots, airport runways, etc. However, the durability and strength of the porous concrete remains a challenge, as the binding material proportion is low and the use of fi ne aggregates is nearly 0. Increasing the compressive load, the failure appears fi rst in the weak concrete zone induced by the random distribution...

In recent years, the construction industry has seen a significant rise in the use of natural fibers, for producing building materials. Research has shown that treated hemp fiberreinforced concrete (THFRC) can provide a low-cost building material for residential and low-rise buildings, while achieving sustainable construction and meeting future environmental targets. This study involved enhancin...
متن کاملCarbon Fiber Reinforced Bismaleimide Composites
Bismaleimide (BMI) resins are developed very rapidly due to the demands of the defense and aerospace industries. They are cross-linked polymers which process like epoxy resins but have an upper use temperature of 230°C, compared to the epoxy upper use temperature of 175°C. Also due to the available intrinsic properties of BMI resins such as higher thermal stability and lower toxicity than those...
